Here’s how made the chips of rice!

Ingredients:
100 g rice
400 g water
5 g salt
saffron
sunflower oil for frying.

Cook the rice in water without salt, until it is well-cooked and has absorbed all the water.
Blend, add saffron powder (optional).
Spread in Silpat thickness of 1 / 1.5 mm and dry in the dryer at 50 degrees C.
Fry pieces to 190 °C.

Mix the salt with a grinder
Season with salt.

In many recipes happen to find the quantity of ingredients in grams, that can be a problem!

How much is the amount of a cup, a spoon and a teaspoon?

1 cup = 237 ml
1/2 cup = 118,5 ml
1/3 cup = 79 ml
1/4 cup = 59 ml = 4 tablespoons (tbsp)
1 tablespoon (tbsp) = 15 ml = 3 teaspoons (tsp)
1 teaspoon = 5 ml (tsp)
1 fluid ounce = 30 ml
1 US quart = 1 l

Then being a unit of measurement of volume, to each ingredient, having a different specific weight, will correspond to a different weight.

How then convert grams in cups?

1 cup flour = 130 grams
1 cup whole wheat flour = 150 grams
1 cup cornmeal = 180 grams
1 cup potato starch = 140 grams
1 cup cornstarch = 140 grams

1 cup oatmeal = 85 grams

1 cup butter / margarine = 225 grams
1 cup milk = 250 ml
Yogurt 1 cup = 225 grams

1 cup raisins = 130 grams
1 cup chocolate chips = 160 grams
1 cup almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts, walnuts = 100 grams

1 cup = 8 egg whites

How to filet a turbot (video)

In this video, Alex Vitali will show you, step by step, how to fillet a Brill.

The same technique is also used for other kinds of flat fishes such as turbot and sole.

Have you seen the video “How to fillet a Brill”, (same thing if it were a turbot or a sole), now we show it again step by step.

  • After cleaning Brill and eliminated its gills, wash well it under cold water;
  • place the soaso on a cutting board with the part of dark skin upwards;
  • with a sharp knife to cut around the perimeter of the Brill;

  • practice a central incision from head to tail;

  • continue the cut from the center towards the outside keeping the knife in contact with the fish bone;

  • repeat the same operation for both fillets

  • rotate the brim and make a cut around the entire perimeter, like the other side

  • even on this side from start from the center and going to the outside;
